It is not always easy to talk about the subject of life-altering or end-of-life events and the decisions that go hand in-hand with this. Not all health decisions are related to death; some involve living with mental or physical challenges that can impact one.s quality of life. Therefore it is wise to inform others of your values, beliefs and desires for health care and to look at the positive benefits of doing this before a crisis occurs.
The Psalmist says, "Teach us to number our days for wisdom". From our faith, life and work experience we have learned much. But as the Psalmist suggests we should live with the wisdom that our days are numbered that we should live well and die well.
This workshop, Honoring My Wishes, provides a comprehensive tool to address these issues in congregations. The following material is intended to guide and inform participants to reach conclusions that benefit them and those who love and care for them.
